  1. How would I go about obtaining a Medical Marijuana Card?
  • You will first need to see a licensed medical marijuana physician who will certify you for the Medical Marijuana Program. A great resource to finding a physician is to go to marijuanadoctors.com.
  • The cost varies per doctor, but it usually costs $125 – $200 for the certification.
  • The second step in the process is to register with the State in order to receive your medical marijuana card in the mail. As of 11/01/2019, patients no longer pay the $50 registration fee.  They just need to register online or they can ask their doctor about completing this process for them (they will be charged a fee if they choose to have their doctor take care of this step).
  1. What should I do if my medical certification and/or registration has expired?
  • If your certification is expired, then you will need to see the doctor so that they can re-certify you for the medical marijuana program.
  • If your registration is not currently active, then you will need to contact the Cannabis Control Commission (This number can be found on the back of your MMJ Card).
  1. Do you accept out-of-state Medical Marijuana Cards?
  • Unfortunately the state of Massachusetts does not accept out-of-state medical marijuana cards.
  1. If I have a Caregiver Card can I visit the dispensary alone or does the patient need to be with me?
  • You can purchase by yourself as long as you bring in your Caregiver Card and a secondary form of ID such as a Driver’s License, Passport, etc.
  • Reminder: Both forms of ID need to be valid.
